Greece is the word! A casually-dressed Prince Charles and Camilla in their summer vacation in Halkidiki

A casually-dressed Prince Charles and Camilla started their summer vacation with a super yacht in Corfu and after that continued to Halkidiki

After their annual summer tour of England's westernmost counties, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall decamped to rather more exotic surroundings in the Greek islands this week.

Prince Charles and Camilla were snapped in summery attire on board OKTO, the superyacht owned by the Greek shipping magnate Theodore Angelopoulos and his wife Gianna who, as president of the organising committee for the 2004 Olympics, is regarded as Athens' answer to Lord Coe.

The photographs show a fleet of staff lining up to greet the royal couple on board the floating palace, which is currently moored in a Corfu harbor.

Charles and Camilla are enjoying the hospitality of millionaire acquaintances after a tour of Devon and Cornwall during which they enjoyed tea and cake at a post office shop, toured local markets, and visited a custard factory.

One photograph shows the casually dressed Prince Charles leaning in to chat to Theodore, a 74-year-old steel and shipping magnate who was born in Athens and is now based in Geneva, as they zipped up to OKTO on a speedboat.

The 66metre OKTO has 80sq m of open deck - including space for dining and dancing - and a swimming pool with lights to change the colour of the water.

It also boasts a gym on the top deck, a formal dining room, and a circular cinema room.

The website boatinternational.com lists OKTO, which was built in 2014 and accommodates 11 guests plus 17 crew, at a price of 54.5million Euro - around £49million.
